The Case of the Disappearing Lover

We were instructed on a case not so long ago that involved a spouse concerned that her partner was cheating on her, because he kept disappearing at weekends for fairly long periods of time, and was telling her that he was at work, when a coincidental telephone call had indicated to her that he was not there.

He would also sometimes come back with mud on his knees or in his hair and be smelling a bit of beer.

She was very concerned so she instructed TP Investigations (http://www.tp-investigations.co.uk/) to undertake some investigation work for her, to see where her spouse was going.

This was quite difficult because of where the family lived and the need for covert surveillance made it slightly awkward, when they lived in a very rural area, which necessitated the visibility of the private investigator to the target.

We sent our private investigator in, in disguise, and he was able to shadow the husband to a local cricket ground.

The private investigator sat and watched as the husband opened the batting for a local team, and it soon became obvious that he had been too scared to tell his wife that he had been playing cricket, and had instead told her he was going into work.

This is fairly common, but we would estimate that in 60 – 70% of cases, where a spouse suspects their partner is having an affair, they are usually correct, or the spouse has lied to them as to their whereabouts, in order to pursue some other interest or activity.

We were able to reassure the spouse of their husband’s infidelity with the game of cricket, but we would not have liked to have been in their house that evening.

Where he was getting his cricket whites washed we have no idea…

Tracing Debtors is getting difficult, says Investigator

Tracing debtors in the current economic slowdown is getting much harder, says private investigation agency, TP Investigations Limited.

Debtors are getting harder to trace, as people become aware of techniques to avoid repayments, says Pete Gresty of TP Investigations Limited. "We are finding that some debtors are almost planning their exit and have purchased or used goods and services knowing that they have no intention of ever paying for them. We have found debtors who have racked up £1000's in credit, make sure their house is in someone else's name, trade via limited companies to avoid any personal liabilities, and fail to register on the Electoral Roll wherever possible. Usually their numbers are ex-directory, they avoid bailiffs and process servers and fail to comply with court judgements. They seem to move about every 4-5 months, and each time they move they clock up more and more credit and the inevitable debt that goes with it. County Court judgements are in abundance, and do not seem to bother these people at all." Using a private investigator to trace this sort of debtor is almost like after the event insurance - TP Investigations offer no find no fee arrangements in some circumstances.

TP Investigations Limited are private investigators dealing with private and corporate investigations on behalf of business, individuals and organisations worldwide, with competitive fixed fees as required. Katie Price and Peter Andre split - was surveillance involved?

In the light of the recent split between Katie Price (aka Jordan) and Peter Andre, private investigators TP Investigations ask whether covert surveillance played a part.

Surveillance experts TP Investigations Limited turn the spotlight on matrimonial surveillance in assisting spouses to determine whether their marriages are a sham or worth preserving. Katie and Peter, who wed three and a half years ago, have two children, Junior and Princess TiƔamii, and Katie, aka Jordan, has a son, Harvey, from a former relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke. Various tabloid newspapers have reported a range of incidents that could have led to the breakdown of their marriage, and Pete Gresty, Senior Investigator with TP Investigations Limited, says that this is likely to have been the subject of surveillance. "Peter and Katie have had certain things said about them both, and some of the background of this bears the hallmarks of the involvement of private investigators specialising in surveillance work", he said. There has been talk of incidents on their own property and elsewhere which looks as if investigators have been put on the trail of the couple. "Spouses who suspect their partners of infidelity should consider before instructing investigators whether they want to really find out and be forced to confront any reality they uncover, or whether they would rather not know - there have been celebrities in the past who have had partners who appear to show a blind eye to any such acts and accept their partners for who they are". Pete Gresty is an experienced investigator handling high net worth individuals, celebrities and large corporations investigating partners, business acquaintances, companies and individuals.

April 18th The Case of the Non-Walking Woman

Instructed by an Australian law firm who had strong doubts about a claim that had been put in by an English claimant living in Yorkshire, who had been injured on a train in New South Wales, and they had been curious as to the truth of her statement. As a result, they instructed us to undertake two days of surveillance to see what her movements were. We undertook surveillance of the claimant and were in possession of her Witness Statement from the Australian law firm, which stated that she was having trouble walking and was unable to get out of her house without the help of a wheelchair.

We undertook surveillance for two days, recording the claimant walking up the street and moving about freely, and clearly not having the difficulties she claimed to be in her Witness Statement.

With the work that we undertook, the Australian defendants were able to reduce their offer to her before trial, and the case settled at substantially lower than would otherwise have been the case.

This was a fun case, as the claimant lived on a very busy street with no parking, and we had to be very careful not to get spotted. Read the paper a lot!

The joys of private investigation work - lots of hanging around, waiting for a few moments of filming opportunities to assist the client.
